We are looking for an experienced MSSQL (Azure) DB admin

Responsibilities&Tasks

● The MS SQL (Azure) DB admin isresponsible for the configuration and maintenance of the Microsoft SQL Server(Azure) databases used by our Identity & Access Management solution (OneIdentity Manager)

● Analysis of DB performance,possible bottle necks, log streams, index fragmation and hardware requirementsto ensure well running systems that meet the requirements of our customers andend users

● DB performance tuning whichincludes setting up KPIs, hardware adjustments and DB configuration

● Regular healthchecks of the DBinstances, prioritization and execution of housekeeping tasks

Requirements, Skills &Experience

Qualification, Certification and Experiences (education, passed PE, trainings,certificates, special IT skills, languages etc.)

● Degree in an IT related field, formal education as a system administratoror comparable education/work experience

● Excellent English skills both written and spoken fluently

● Experience working in the field of database/system administration

● Databases (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, …)

● Operating systems (Windows)

● Cloud server technologies (Azure, Azure SQL managed instances)

● Experience with performance monitoring, optimization and troubleshooting(long running SQL queries, execution plans, server logs, index fragmentation,…)

Skills andCompetencies (functional /technical / methodological / social skills, competencies)

● Knowledge of security standards and IAM Processes

● Technical skills related to system and database administration

● Technical expertise and interest in IT security, Identity and AccessManagement and related fields of technology, and open to new trends andtechnologies

● Proven track record of the ability to create proper documentation and beingcapable of transfering knowledge in an enterprise scaled, internationalenvironment

● Competence to manage tasks in demanding and unfamiliar situations withproblem solving skills based on practice and precedent

● Ability to cooperate efficiently with clients and different teams as wellas willingness to support new team members

● Ability to apply lean methods to support and consult activities in theconcept phase

WE OFFER: 

·         Freelance Contract

·         Rate: 220€/250€ per day + VAT (According toproven experience)

·         Location: Barcelona (Hybrid)
